Subject: Gamble Rodger's 'Good Causes' From: GUEST,Tequilaron Date: 02 Jul 01 - 05:19 PM Gamble Rodgers use to do a song in concert which I believe was called "Good Causes". He always introduced it by saying it was written by a friend of his from North Carolina. He had added a verse or two also. I do not find this title on any of his albums. I only remember a few snatches of lyrics some of which are: "Where the sons of Clarendon county bled. All down the red pine floor", "Now sister sees the hired hand.", "There is red clay in the wind rows", and "When people would treat you mean, I would hide you in my heart". Just humming these snatches is driving me nuts. Any help finding the lyrics and chords or name of the author would be greatly appreciated. Also, for Gamble fans try this site. www.gamblerogers.com |
