Subject: RE: BS: LOTR music, definitions, and BS threads From: katlaughing Date: 25 Jul 01 - 07:08 PM There's a lot of places to take a gander at, CH, any suggestion of where, to get a taste, that is? |
Subject: RE: BS: LOTR music, definitions, and BS threads From: wysiwyg Date: 25 Jul 01 - 07:11 PM CH, could this have been your deathless prose: "... middle ground is for wieners!"? *G* Your link didn't work so hot but I managed to find the discussion in question by fiddling the default URL's threadid number till I found it. ~Susan |
Subject: RE: BS: LOTR music, definitions, and BS threads From: hesperis Date: 25 Jul 01 - 07:20 PM There was an error when I tried. Then when I went looking for the thread there was an error on every thread. Yay. |
Subject: RE: BS: LOTR music, definitions, and BS threads From: wysiwyg Date: 25 Jul 01 - 07:24 PM To arrive at CH's destination-- Start from my link-- open it in a new window so you can follow these direx. Then when you get the error message click the FORUM link in it. At the top right corner of the next screen click TODAY'S ACTIVE TOPICS In the next screen (thread titles) click the one named: strong celtic soundtrack confirmed And that oughtta be the right one, from the thread id. I dunno why they have an error message if you try to go direct-- the URL CH gave looks right. Must be that they don't have the right KIND of elves over there. *G* Need elvenfolkies, not elvenfolk. ~S~

Subject: RE: BS: LOTR music, definitions, and BS threads From: hesperis Date: 25 Jul 01 - 07:35 PM Every thread over two pages has an error. Any thread of just one page is no problem. |
Subject: RE: BS: LOTR music, definitions, and BS threads From: wysiwyg Date: 25 Jul 01 - 07:36 PM Did you follow my trail? I got there twice. ~S~ |
Subject: RE: BS: LOTR music, definitions, and BS threads From: hesperis Date: 25 Jul 01 - 07:40 PM Yep. I followed your link, then went to the forums, then to Galadriel's Mirror. Then any thread with more than one page gets me an error. Any thread of under one page is perfectly fine. I even went to other forums in the same site, and got the exact same problem. I have written to the admin now. |
Subject: RE: BS: LOTR music, definitions, and BS threads From: GUEST, WYSIWYG Date: 25 Jul 01 - 07:41 PM I am getting there with either IE5 or Netscape, on a cable modem, via the route described above. Could it be the modem makes a difference? ~S~ |

I hesitate what Tolkien would have thought of it all.
But thanks for letting us in on this Clinton. I'll probably visit it from time to time.

Subject: RE: BS: LOTR music, definitions, and BS threads From: Clinton Hammond Date: 25 Jul 01 - 07:49 PM Sorry folks... I know that ringbearer.org is at best a spotty site, rife with problems and such... why direct linking to threads doesn't work, I can't beging to imagine... But rest easy in the knowledge that there's nothing serious going on... I was only trying to share a bit of a laugh... ;-) |

Subject: RE: BS: LOTR music, definitions, and BS threads From: Burke Date: 25 Jul 01 - 08:04 PM Maybe the errors came from all those embedded images. That rotating Sword for Hire was so distracting it was hard to even read the messages above & below it. |

It was a bad day when America discovered that folk music could be marketed to the masses. I think I'll stay with Mudcat. |
