Subject: Y Deryn Pur From: JudeL Date: 01 Aug 01 - 11:33 AM Any true Welsh speakers please forgive the spelling but when I was at school I remember learning this song which translates to something like "Oh Gentle Dove". Since I speak very little Welsh and learned it by the sound of the words more than 20 years ago I am now concerned about singing it as I worry that I've misremembered it and am mangling the words. If anyone out there can help I'd appreciate it as it's a lovely song and I'd like to know that I've not reduced the words to nonsense or worse. Jude |

Y deryn pur â'r adain las,

Subject: RE: Lyr Req: A Deryn Pur From: JudeL Date: 02 Aug 01 - 04:05 AM Now having had a chance to look at it properly, I'm pleased to find that my memory must be better than I thought as there were only a couple of words that I had changed slightly which given that I first learnt it more than 20 years ago is better than I expected!
