Subject: DESPERATELY seeking session in Cumbria From: Ella who is Sooze Date: 13 Nov 01 - 04:30 AM A friend of mine (fiddle and mandolin) is on business in Cumbria, he will have to stay much longer than first thought. Now he is hoping that he could sweeten his stay up there with a couple of sessions... He is based in Wokington, but he's got a car and is willing to drive a good distance. He's a good crack, and definately doesn't mind a bit of drive to get there... Does anyone know of a session?? He would be looking for a session mainly Scottish, Irish... but other influences as well is great... Hope you can give me some ideas - I think he's getting bored of lack of music. |

Subject: RE: Help: DESPERATELY seeking session in Cumbria From: GUEST,Jock Morris @ work in Edinburgh Date: 13 Nov 01 - 06:47 AM The Dolton folk club meets in Barrow on a Tuesday evening (I think). Sorry, don't know where they meet. Somewhere I have the phone number of one of their members; if I can find that he'd be a good man for your friend to call. I'll try and hunt it out this evening.
