I didn't mind 'True History of the Kelly Gang'. As mentioned, it was a pastiche of the story, done in a style that attempted to be tangential and a little Tarantinoesque.

However, some of the exposure of the class structure, corruption in the police, racism against the Irish and the brutality of the time was well covered. I didn't believe the character development which led to Glenrowan, but the portrayal of Ned's childhood influences was quite convincing.

I did enjoy the final speech, where the fabricated version of Ned was used as a springboard for Australia to move into an era of civility. In that sense, he comes off as the victim of his circumstance.
