I had heard on BBC radio news that somewhere in the USA wanted the statue. I think that's a very good idea. Perhaps they would keep it.

I don't wish to be reminded of that woman.

Think laterally. I'm sure Mrs Thatcher would love to have her statue in the House of Commons as soon as possible. Since that isn't possible while she's still alive......

Avoiding the obvious quip about it being a bust

Debate (make that a yawn) on where to put the new statue of 'Er Indoors, rages (what else). For those not aware, it cannot be put in the House of Commons during her lifetime (mixed blessing?).

The where is secondary, the medium is all wrong. The marble should be cast iron, or at least the hands, one of iron the other of steal (ref school milk) and definitely not 16 tons.
