There's a very well-made video of Paul Metser himself singing FAREWELL TO THE GOLD at YouTube.

It's a high-def video, and he's sitting in a workshop, and it isn't obvious what the workshop is for. However, the biography at Metser's website says:
    "...in 1989 ... [Pauline and I] set up our Sagem Crafts wooden board game manufacturing business and I gave up touring and playing in public."
—so that must be it.

Anyone contemplating making their own video ought to study this for technique.

I like having interesting backgrounds. At the opposite extreme, I hate it when venues have a spotlighted performer sitting in front of a black curtain. The contrast makes my eyes hurt, and I find myself looking away most of the time.
