Priestweston weekend at easter is allways Easter Weekend, ie. 18th to 20th of April this year if my Calender is correct. It's a good thing its that simple being a rather unorganised event.
There is a september weekend, which tends to be a little quieter/different , last year nobody got round to sorting out a date till about a week before with obvious consequences, ended up as an cosy little evening session.
Hope we see you and many others at easter this year.
                All the best Nick

Sorry about the Buff, Mr. Red, but I'd had enough and no one wanted to carry on with it.

I have no idea why that particular night was so well attended - perhaps we were all trying to work out who Salty Dog was!
I have actually been to the Buffalo as well though. I'm very quiet, as you know, so you probably didn't notice me.
I remember Nonny was there, and I bet she hasn't been since either.

Thanks for that, Watson. that actually was the only night we had that was good, and it was in the White Horse because the Buffalo was being refurbished! Non of those who where there have been again. I can't explain that.

And so the party is over for Clun!!

Just thought I'd tell everyone that's intending to crowd into the Buffalo in Clun on Wednesday night, sorry folks, much as I have enjoyed your company (all of you?) I've knocked it on the head and put it out of its misery.

Thank you and goodnight!

There will be carols, but they are not mandatory - come along and sing or play what you want to, or just listen.

Mike was well when last spotted. He was very low when Bruno died, but the arrival of a new dog has helped.
But he doesn't seem to have done much to Freefolk recently.

I usually look at Mike Raven's online folk mag HERE
but he hasn't updated it since August after his dog died. Does anyone know if he's got over it yet? When I bought some Black Country 3/Halliard CDs from him a couple of years ago he was kind enough to send me some free books & tapes.

Last month there was a "one off" session at the Grove Inn Walcot, near the sugar beet factory in Telford.
It was a hugely enjoyable night and the landlord would like another one.
So, on Thursday November 21, we'll all gather round once more. All singers and musicians will be welcome. Our hosts John and Lesley will once more provide food.
This map will help you find it.

Just moved this over from the Bishop's Castle folk weekend thread for HARVEY ANDREWS:

'I know it's not Bishop's castle, but it is Ludlow. My favourite day out is the two places and a good trawl round the bookshops! Anyway, point of this is to say I'm doing my first solo concert at Ludlow assembly rooms on Friday February 28th, 8pm. box office 01584 878141. It would be great to see some of you there so I could put faces to names!'

Yes you would lose many people to Alcester, it is established, good, easily accessible and relatively nearby. Don't do it, go for 1st weekend in June nothing nearby to clash with and near to this years date, i.e. swopped with Chippenham with them back to May bank holiday as usual.
Hope these comments help in your deliberations.

And you'd lose me too, I guess, Sally. (Unless Navy Cut or Bold Heroes were booked to perform I suppose? But even then my heart would be at Alcester.)
What possible reason could there be deliberately to clash the fledgeling Bishop's Castle FF with an established FF which is only 40 miles away and which is more accessible to most of the rest of the country?
Got to go now, as there is a music/song session at the Holly Bush in Alcester - which I count as my local!

All the best.
Twas on one April morning ...
