Subject: RE: help me find From: okthen Date: 24 May 02 - 07:01 PM Great, just the thread I want to jump on the back of, does anyone know the name of an album by little Richard that was the other versions of the studio takes of his hits that weren't released? If I can find this I might be able to persuade some people that other versions of rock classics aren't "crap" cheers bill |

Subject: Baby, Stop Crying From: wysiwyg Date: 24 May 02 - 09:08 PM It's hard to find these songs later on if they are all piled up into one thread. Also, a thread without a song in the title often doesn't attract people to help you find what you are looking for. Of course if you don't know the song title that can be hard to do. *G* But any clue in the thread title helps people key in on the request. What is very helpful, about making the song easy to find here if someone comes looking for it later, is to change the SUBJECT LINE of the post, like I did on this one-- look, see? I did that so that the song John posted will show up easily in a Mudcat search. ~Susan |
Subject: RE: help me find From: catspaw49 Date: 24 May 02 - 09:23 PM FIRST....Please take Susan's advice in the future and start a new thread with the title or words from the song in the title and use the LYRREQ prefix. You'll get better results and we're always happy to help. Sometimes these get missed without that format. Shirley.......That's a tough way to look isn't it? The best two sites for Dylan lyrics if you don't already have them are My Back Pages the official Bob site and this site, a Japanese mirror of sorts....both have the song John posted and are your best source if you happen to know the title. okthen........See if any of these fit the bill. Subject: RE: help me find From: JohnInKansas Date: 25 May 02 - 03:57 AM WYS & Joe - Sorry about my lapse in not marking the Dylan thing as a LYR ADD. Actually, I was a little afraid it might attract attention to the fact that I actually have a Dylan book. Is it really something I shouldn't keep from the neighbors? John |
Subject: RE: help me find From: gnu Date: 25 May 02 - 04:44 AM There are Mudcatters that have two copies of the book. |
Subject: RE: help me find From: Joe Offer Date: 25 May 02 - 11:15 AM When I come across songs that have been posted, I change the message title to ADD and the song title. If it's a pop song that's not likely to be suitable for the Digital Tradition, I put ADDPOP. Jim Dixon, the other DT harvester, has been doing the same. If you find a song that has been posted without the ADD monicker, you can do like Susan did and post a subsequesnt message in the same thread with ADD and the song title, and that will help us locate songs. Thanks. -Joe Offer- |
Subject: RE: help me find From: GUEST,Guest Date: 25 May 02 - 04:49 PM Looking for complete lyrics to an unknown song that goes like this: May you always live in sunshine Slumber warm when night winds blow May you always live with laughter For a smile becomes you so May good fortune find your doorway May the bluebird sing your song May no trouble travel your way May no worry stay too long.....? If you know song title, lyrics or composer please help by sending info to hguild@eznet.net Thank you. |
