Are you asking for tune reccomendations or which is the best site? It's mostly Irish, but there is Slow Players.

Oombanjo - Here are some to try Tom Joad's Multimedia Celtic and Old Time Music site http://www.btinternet.com/~drcce/
Banjo Hangout - free banjo lessons, tabs, links, and more! Banjo players directory, and instrument reviews. http://www.banjohangout.org/
Clawhammer Banjo Instruction Sitehttp://www.virtualtradition.com/oldtime/slowjam/clawhammer/
This is the kind of request which appears from time to time on Mudcat so is worth following through for the benefit of us all. Although I have found and bookmarked these sites (probably in part from links supplied in different Mudcat threads) I haven't had time to properly check them out, but they look useful!
If you find them worthwhile, could you post back with a comment on how good they are?
Quack!
Geoff!

The best slow down software I've found is Amazing Slowdowner. I definitely prefer it to Transkriber. You can find it HERE. The free version gives you a good idea about its capabilities, then it's not expensive to register. I love it for Old Time ancient mp3 tracks and CDs because you can change the pitch of the recording to match what your banjo is tuned to. The slowed version sounds really clear, and it's very easy to use. The usual disclaimers.

Cheers
Ray

Oombanjo - I don't know much about the Silsden thing. I seem to recall having seen a bluegrass festival advertised there a few years back - Is that what you refer to?
What exactly is it and when?
GtD!

Geoff Its a gathering, caravans and tents and mobies. Both the old timers and the bluegrassers get together for a hoedown. The place has its own pub and theatre set in the middle of the moor's.I will get back on and confirm the date.
