OK, I'm gonna put this out here for our many Irish-speakers (me decidely not among 'em) to correct. From hearing recordings of it only, by ear & not by actual knowledge, I would phonetically spell it "Ar Air-in nee no-shin kay hee." Now, ye gaeltacht 'catters, what is it really?

Great, Townes. You're most welcome. It's also on "The Makem and Clancy Concert", Shanachie 52003; and "The Makem and Clancy Collection", BLB 1009; sung in Irish by Liam Clancy. Slainte.

Pretty close there Pooka. The neosfainn is nearer (I think) to no sing (appropriately) than no shing. I'm finding it difficult to come up with a goo phonetic for it. The best I can do is Knows hing but the first syllable rhymes with close (as in nearby).

Dang thing converted the long dash over the o to a circumflex. Blah. Anyway, the stress is on the first syllable.
