Once again it is time for Festival at the Edge, Much Wenlock this weekend.

Are any more Mudcats going to be there? I know Dan Keding who is one of the guests is one. Sign in at Rincewynds and lets see how many of us make it.

So I've just come back from The Edge and had a good weekend. The rain was a bit boring on Saturday but lovely sunshine today. It was great to see Tig and Badger (thanks for the mudcat badge btw) I also met Cobble and Gillie. Wasn't the catering expensive? Professor Panic was as great as ever and Suitcase Circus is brilliant! Portaloos were ok too!! And so the season moves on and we shift to Warwick Folk Fest next weekend.

See you all there.

Sal

Don't know about the catering - we went home to eat, but the lemonade was very reasonably priced.

We're back home too. The Magician and I are totally Kn..... having spent both days at the festival massaging aching people - and watching them go away with happy faces :-) It was the first outing for the Ninja Massage Corporation. Watch out for us at more festivals, probably next year. Thanks a lot to Mrs Cobble and Gillie for acting as excellent receptionists.

Firecat ran the badge stall with the aid of Penelope Pitstop and Wibble (our handicapped kitties)instead of me. Of course The Badger did his share of looking after it too.

None of us got to see many of the guests but I did sneak away to listen to fellow 'cat Dan Keding. He was superb as usual. The good news is he has a new CD of stories out in a couple of weeks because he doesn't get to this side of the pond often enough.

Yes, Mrs Lemon, I do tend to agree about the price of the catering, but many years of attending the Edge has taught me to take (at least some of) my own food. Next weekend it will be late night butties at Moor and Coast.

See you at Warwick - I'm back being a Badger then. Don't forget to come and sign the sheet. We're not sure how many of us there were at the Edge.

I'm back as well, Kn....But happy I think it has been the best and most friendly weekend ever. Mr's C is putting a piece in herself, so i'll let her tell it.

Tired but happy Cobble.

Oh so tired, such a late night (?? morning) who was that who kept on putting another log on the fire? :-)

I would have liked to see every act but it was so imposible to get to all without the means of being in two or three places at once. Dan Keding was wonderful, he just makes you live his stories. Another favourite for me was Dovie Thomason Sicles who tells Indian stories she first heard from her Lakota relatives.

The mesage from the story tellers is... keep telling the stories to the children...

Nice to meet you Cobbles, I agree Dovie was smashing, my personal highlight was Kelvin Hall's workshops, challenging and a lot of fun! BTW they were very funny 'logs' Mr Fox kept putting on the fire on Sunday night!! (those folks really are mad, bad and dangerous to know)

Back now and slowly recovering from a very busy weekend. Magician's working shirt on Sunday, had to be seen to be beleived - it was wonderful and raised a few smiles. Still Kn.....d but better than was.

Met lots of new people, some old friends and enjoyed the freindly, magical atmosphere that is the Edge. Mr Fox great as ever, Dovie and Dan inspiring. Will be back with forth next year!!!!

Gillie
