So, I get this call at nearly 11 at night. It's my sister, CarolC. She wants to talk to me before I read a certain thread at the 'Cat. Man...the things that happen when you go away for 2 weeks. ;)

I am related to this woman, and I had no idea she was even involved with anyone. :::snort!!:::

So, I went looking for a pic of Jack the Sailor, and I replied to his PM, warning me ahead of time so I would not be blown over ;) (sprry, m'lad...too late!)

But there are no pics of Jack the Sailor. I'd really like to see what my new bro-in-law looks like before I meet him in person. I think it would be nice to carry on the tradition Carol started, and talk to him and see him for the first time on the web.

I am completely tickled here. All I can say is, it's about time she had some happiness. I am all for that. So, keep her happy, Jack...or you'll have a little red headed spitfire to answer to. >;D

I do sing such songs! But that is not the reason for that name! Carol, from the first time we Met on the 'Cat, is the reason for that name.

Go to Mudcat Hoser Tavern! (the thread) Carol starts talking about her love for Canada, which impresses the he11 out of me! I decide to pay her back by introducing her to Newfoundland! She likes that so much that I choose a Mudcat name which embodies the seagoing, fun-loving spirit of Newfoundland. The character from this song! JACK WAS EVERY INCH A SAILOR

If you read the thread carefully you will see us flirting and me sticking up for her when someone tries to curtail her accordion playing! I still would do that! I love her accordion playing now that I've heard her in real life!

Carol... I missed this thread until Hesperis brought it to my attention.. Many congratulations and best wishes to you both, Jack, You are one lucky guy as Carol is one of the nicest 'Catters I have been lucky enough to meet in 3D, and if she cares for you then you need no other introduction or recommendation for me.
