Last night, after reading a thread and going back to the Forum, it surprised me with the new format....whoa! Looks great. This morning, I'm back to the old look again...which is also great. Ever sensitive to our needs, Mudcat is apparently easing me into new format gently and I am deeply appreciative. |

It's a nice look; I'm glad you kept the photo of Robert Johnson. I don't do much more than check the Lyrics Database and the new threads so I'm not qualified to say anything about the more technical aspects. Horns and fangs would be neat about this time of year, doncha think? And tits are always appropriate, especially along with cunts and pricks. No arseholes, please, there are always more than enough of those about, especially here. I put my fist through a door this morning because of the corruption and sleaze factor around here. Glade |

Who needs a cyber-badmouther when ya got the real thing? *G* Here's what I like/love about the New Mudcat, so far: ¥ Much faster to PM people -- fewer steps ¥ "Preview" option for posts is great. ¥ Automatic line breaks option is great -- as long as you remember to UN-check the box it your post already has the HTML code in it! ¥ The option of deleting PMs, not just archiving them. ¥ The "related threads" at the top of threads. I used to spend a lot of time searching for related threads, for myself and to help answer other folks' requests for info; now that info is already there. Great! What I'd find handy would be to be able to adjust the default on split threads so that they opened up with the most recent one rather than with the first. (I wouldn't be surprised to find out we've got that facility already, in which case someone tell me how to operate it.) |
