Thanks everyone for the help. I had search Levy but somehow had missed it. Maybe Car rather than Kerr confused the search. Too bad two of the links are broken. Maybe the sheets I did get will give an idea of the tune.
Does anyone know if anything, any song that we all might know is used with this tune?
I am looking for it for an 1870s parody called "I belong to the fire BRigade"

Yes, Masato - but there's another Cariboo song to the same tune - "Young Ted Brown". The song was "sung by Mr. John Hudson at tghe Theatre Royal, Barkerville, on New Year's Eve, 1867." Maybe it's that my friend Richard is looking for.

Should have thought to ask you! What I'm looking for is the tune or sheet music. I have words, of course, to both songs, but wanted to find some original sheet music.
The links on the Levy site are broken. I have notified them and likely they will be fixed soon.

Jon, I'm also looking on another thread, for the music to "The Mousetrap Man"--also used for a couple of Cariboo songs. Have you ever come across it.?

The Levy site is working. A better printed copy comes through by saving the jpg and then cleaning it up and enlarging in photoshop.
