Dear Friends.

Since they started some irish music jam sessions at our local pub in Denmark, my friend and I have been wondering about the irish text to a Danish translation of the song that we love so much. In Danish it's called Saa farvel til mine venner, but as I don't think I will help you much I'll try to write the words of the text as I was told it to be in irish:

Now I'm leaving Mursheindurken, 'cause I'm sick and tired of working.... Is it correct in any way and - more important: Could any of you help a Dane find the real text of this song. We'd like to be able to sing it in the original words and not only in Danish...

Hope someone could help me here or perhaps even better, send me an email if you know something. As a thank I'll call you up to sing the Danish song - or if you want me to, I wont do it. (I guess it will make you more happy if I don't! :-))

They're in the digital tradition under the title MUIRSHEEN DURKIN .
