In addition the "The Brothers Four" the following have also recorded "Greenfields." "The Beverley Sisters"; "The Four Freshmen"; "Laurie Lewis"; "Unit 4+2" and "The Watersons."

Re: Who recorded "Once There Were Greenfields:" I have a reel-to-reel recording ca 1959 by Terry Gilkyson and The Easy Riders,
Rich Dehr and Frank Miller. Inasmuch as they wrote the song,
presumably they were the FIRST to record it.

I think you will recognize other titles therein.
It is a pity that he has fallen from memory. Sic Transit .....

and heard "Green Leaves of Summer." TSK!

Also "The Inn Group" [Tom McHenry, John Swalm, Roger Strange and Tom Mayes] on the Folk Promotions label in 1962. Fortunately, out of print.
