I don't recognize the song, and Google searches using the phrases "round like a chariot wheel" and "hard as cast iron steel" came up with nothing.

The best I can do is suggest how you might find it (if you're really determined).

AMG lists 312 recordings of various songs called "Round and Round."

You can find sound samples more directly (with less information) at Yahoo! Music.

To narrow your search, try Barnes & Noble and select "Blues & Folk" at the bottom.
