Subject: Anyone going to Hudson River Revival Fes From: Barry Finn Date: 18 May 03 - 10:12 PM I'm going to be heading off to the Hudson River Revival Festival the weekend between Mystic & Old Songs. Anyone else going? I've never been there so I'm looking for info, what people think of it as far as the music is concerned, what to expect, do they have sessions &/or late night sings? Thanks in advanced & hope to see some of you there? Barry |

Subject: RE: Anyone going to Hudson River Revival Fes From: GUEST,Barry Finn Date: 23 May 03 - 04:37 PM Hi EBarnacle. Straighten me out. Above you listed the The Mose Allison Quartet. I looked at the roster & couldn't find them on it. Are they a late addition or am I just gonna cry. As a late teen & into my early 20's I used to catch him playing at Boston's Jazz Workshop, terrific club for jazz. Used to catch otyher's there like Roland Kirk & Herby Hancock. I went there one night to hear Miles Davis & joined my father who was sitting across the room. Hi bbc. Thanks I did get your e-mail that was awful nice of you guys, thanks. I'm allowed to camp on the beach (thanks to EBarnacle) & I love to do on site camping at music fests, get to say up spending half the night singing with others. That's the only reason why we don't go to the Champlain Valley Fest (no on site camping). I don't mind camping in rotten but if it's winter by then is the offer still open? Hope you both make there, it'd be nice to see you again. I'm still wondering if there's any late night or after hours singing or some informal type of goings on? Barry |
Subject: RE: Anyone going to Hudson River Revival Fes From: bbc Date: 23 May 03 - 05:04 PM Barry, If I remember correctly, that festival closes at dusk. I don't know if there is any after-hours stuff. bbc P.S.--Offer is open. |
Subject: RE: Anyone going to Hudson River Revival Fes From: Barry Finn Date: 23 May 03 - 06:52 PM Thanks bbc, Eric got me the beach camping, he's got me doing shanties with others both days. I hoping that the Hudson isn't to cold, I might not want to take a dip if there's an offshore breeze could be dangerous. Is the Hudson in that area clean enough to swim in, I'm assuming it is but? Thanks for the Offer but I think Joe is still taken. No really, depending on the weather I may take you guys up on that but I do things like that at last minutes & I woulndn't want to mess up any of your plans. Thanks again, Barry |
