Political leadership reaches out from beyond the grave -- the voice of Richard Nixon is calling us today!!

From the NY Times:

According to recently listened-to White House tapes, back in 1971 then-President Nixon and national security advisor Henry Kissinger were worried that Rumsfeld was becoming a frou-frou peacenik. He's "just positioning himself to be close to the Washington Post and the New York Times," said Kissinger. "I think Rumsfeld may be not too long for this world," responded Nixon. "Let's dump him."


First time I ever suggested we should listen to Biggus Dickus!

Ya know, when Nixon was prez and deep in his Watergate troubles, he took a midnight stroll. At the Jefferson Memorial he asked Jefferson what he should do, and Jefferson replied, "Tell the truth." At the Washinton Monument, George said, "Tell the truth." At the Lincoln Memorial, Lincoln replied, "Goooooooo to the theater..........."

Maybe the current administration should take advice from beyond the grave.

Yeah, I heard Lincoln gave that same advice to Clinton... and to the current administration...
