The next session at The Woodman will be on Wednesday 29th October. We aim to kick off between 8.30 and 9.00, depending on who turns up and when. Singers and musicians all welcome.

John, go to Hertford, and up the hill through Bengeo and on towards Wadesmill. Turn off at signpost about a mile after leaving Hertford(Bengeo)

John - just use the clicky I posted - You can zoom in all the way to street level by using the + sign next to the little pictures of various size houses on the right underneath the map and you can scroll by clicking on the various arrowheads. I assume you can read a map - or have you had a sex change since I last saw you - ducking and running for cover . . . . . . . .

Hi all

Dave - We've changed to Wednesday for at least the winter - if it takes off I'm going to try and persuade Danny to keep it there as it suits people better but in the summer they had Petanque on a Wednesday and got rather busy with that. Maybe they can be persuaded to change their night. (Trust you and Breezy will have the punch-up outside AFTER the session if you both make it - grin)

Kevin - thanks for that - I started it, following a suggestion from Tony Crowley that the Woodman would be a good venue. I'm just pleased that it seems to have taken off so well and am really enjoying meeting so may nice people as a result.

Sorry to hear you're unwell. Wrap up warm and get better quickly - you were missed and it was commented on.

The session went well, but there were a few faces missing for one reason or another, but with one or two new faces who, I hope, will come again. The next one will be on 26.11.

I'm going to send HP a pm suggesting that I could pick him up from whatever location in Hertford for the next session. That's as long as he doesn't mind sharing transport with two daft females. If I can get him there I'm sure there'll be someone to take him home.

Kevin - My mother's maiden name was actually Mayes - I gather that my parents got fed up with the joke that they should make a good match !   When Linda and I drive up to Chapmore End we go right past the old match factory at Bow - now yuppie flats.

Sorry I couldn't make it, I remembered I had a doctors appointment back in Harlow, I was then hoping to get a lift from Kevin, but he had a cold as he mentioned earlier.By then it was too late to ring Dave, who'd have already left from London.
