Can anyone point me to a website or (I'll pay for it) book with some funny, short, modern, interesting suitable-for-a-show 2-or-3-person sketch scripts? I've browsed and googled with might and main but got nowt. Any topic but especially gender wars and office politics.
Thanks in advance

Well, I do have this on line - All Rights Reserved... But I'll discuss terms... :-)

While some of the pieces are for more than a few bodies, some are for a handful - the style and period (depends wht you mean by modern - I can modify things if money is involved - I am a Wordsmith!) may not be what suits you though... and I will consider writing more in the style...

The Virtual Fooles Troupe
The Most Popular History On Show! (about 200 pages worth of assorted Tom Foolery - although Tom is no longer with them, having now gone on to bigger and better things...)
A witty, humorous romp through the Comedy of the Elizabethan and Medieval Theater

Or, you could do something I've been trying to convince anyone to do for a while now. Vaclav Havel's The Memorandum. It seems oddly timely considering he wrote it in 63 or so. It's set in an office, which makes the "theatre of the absurd" humor perfectly accessible in a Dilbert sort of way. I think it would work. Anyway, I like him as a playwright.

I have some plays and bits, but haven't decided to do anything with them, yet.

I remember the ABC many years ago doing a Radio play version of something very witty that I can remember no specific details of (including the author - and it could have been up to 30 years ago) called "Red Tape" - about the beuracrat who spends his life frustrating (with the aid of red tape) the efforts of everyone who seks his help. Of course, then he needs something for himself.... :-)

Sean O'Casey did a wonderfully funny one act play, with only 3 characters, an excessively Catholic young man, a promiscuous young lady, and the young man's roommate. You could start there.
If you like, I'll write you some sketches, just give me some themes. Writing is what I do. (I also clean houses. That pays bills. ) As Hollowfox will tell you I write scripts for a comic book that a friend illustrates. They're very funny. Get in touch if you're interested. (Oh! No need to pay. Just give me credit, and spell my name right!)

Thanks for suggestions so far. Should have mentioned that I'm only interested in stuff 2 to 5 minutes long; 10 minutes at an absolute max. Sketches for a cheery, boozy but passably intelekshul audience However I'm going to look up the plays mentioned for other purposes so thanks again and further suggestions please.
