Hello this is Girl Friday. I run the Orpington Friday Folk. For my sins Dave Bryant was very helpful by turning up at regular intervals.

I'm sorry that Sue {Girl Friday) hasn't responded to all your welcoming posts, but she usually goes on line at her local library and probably hasn't had a chance yet. She does now have a suitable PC of her own, but has still got to sort out an ISP.

I'm sure there are quite a few UK catters who know her - she is after all the organiser of the Orpington (Kent) Friday Folk at the Liberal Club - and has probably booked quite a few of us over the years. She is fairly involved in the NW Kent folk scene and as anyone who knows her will testify, she has quite strong views on how clubs and festivals should be run.

I'll give her a phone call and tell her of your warm welcome.

Leadfingers - I think that Girl Friday has booked you a couple of times. I'm pretty sure that she's booked Breezy and John Barden as well. Anyway it's always nice to stay the right side of club organisers. Ron Trueman-Border is one of the clubs residents and Paul Sirman is a frequent visitor.
