Subject: RE: BS: ivor bigginin From: ossonflags Date: 24 Mar 04 - 10:07 AM I certainly wouldn't want this to be deleted. It just goes to show the lengths some people will go to charactor assasinate me. I find it very strange lone shark, that you have only just appeared on the scene, and frankly all you have done is tried to stitch me up. All your attempts so far have produced no positive evidence as it was I who insulted my friends. In the last attempt you have produced yet another "Guest" called ivor biggin, not bigginin. In the same hit I am clearly shown posting as a mudcatter and as a guest. At all times using "Ossanflags" On my end I am as upset as everyone else that some one has insulted people I have known for a number of years. As some one mentioned in another thread "Why ?" I get my pleasure doing music with people I love and respect,if you get your pleasure doing this that is fine. people like john fom hull is a personal friend of mine and a mudcat institution, why would I want to insult him?indeed him and I drank lots of rum and that in my house one night This is the last time I am going to say this, I am not ivor biggin or ivor bigginin, if I have anything to say to people I use my own name. The person or persons who have put me in this posistion have a lot to answer for,but after investigations at work I am a little bit nearer to finding out the real truth. |

Subject: RE: BS: ivor bigginin From: Les from Hull Date: 24 Mar 04 - 01:48 PM Well it's nice to have friends. I'm happy to be a friend of Mick. You get friends by being nice and doing good things. So Mick has lots of friends. I wonder how many friends these bogus name/GUEST-type people have? |
Subject: RE: BS: ivor bigginin From: The Fooles Troupe Date: 25 Mar 04 - 04:47 AM Hundreds! all of them with bogus name/GUEST handles... |

Subject: RE: BS: ivor bigginin From: ossonflags Date: 25 Mar 04 - 12:29 PM Sounds good to me specky, I hope we do. Thanks Les. |
Subject: RE: BS: ivor bigginin From: GUEST,Shlio Date: 25 Mar 04 - 04:49 PM Besides which, lone shark, why on earth would somebody with a good name like "ossonflags" choose "ivor biggin" as an alias? Sounds more like something that Ben Dover would do... |
Subject: RE: BS: ivor bigginin From: Bee-dubya-ell Date: 25 Mar 04 - 05:09 PM Have you considered the possibility that Ivor might be Winston Wellington-Jones? It would not be out of character for the cad. Perhaps Ms Penelope Rutledge will take a look at his posts and see if there are some tell-tale consistencies. |
Subject: RE: BS: ivor bigginin From: GUEST Date: 26 Mar 04 - 04:55 AM ossonflags states 'after investigations at work I am a little bit nearer to finding out the real truth' why speculate he is coming back with the real truth. |
Subject: RE: BS: ivor bigginin From: Oaklet Date: 26 Mar 04 - 10:16 AM Now Guset, once more with punctuation - just so that we can stand a chance of understanding the full meaning of your pithy learned nugget. The cluster of puncuation marks is on the right of the keyboard - to the right of the L and M keys. The quotation mark is above the W. |
Subject: RE: BS: ivor bigginin From: Skipjack K8 Date: 26 Mar 04 - 01:26 PM Caesar entered on his head, his helmet on his feet, his sandals in his hand, his sword in his eye, an angry glare. Why do so many guest postings bring to mind chimpanzees, keyboards and having way too much time on one's hands? |

Subject: RE: BS: ivor bigginin From: GUEST,Raggytash Date: 29 Mar 04 - 06:00 AM Nick Scaife here, not hiding behind pseudonyms or Guest labels, I am please to say that Ossenflags is a dear friend, a kind considerate man who is blessed with a superb voice, I sincerely hope he continues to be a friend for many many yearsto come. I do not believe that the man I know would pen anything salacious about anyone, Michael has the presence to speak to individuals personally, he is also a big enough character to shake off pathetic attacks and critiscism such as this,I'm sure he will do so. Michael I look forward to partaking of soem liquid refreshment with you next weekend in Butlers Brasserie and Beer boutique or the Equine Niger. I would suggest Guest that if you half the man that Michael is you would put your name to your insidious contributions |
Subject: RE: BS: ivor bigginin From: GUEST Date: 29 Mar 04 - 06:07 AM How do you explain his recent confession that these Ivor posts came from his own computer then? |
Subject: RE: BS: ivor bigginin From: Sweetfia Date: 29 Mar 04 - 07:57 AM Go away GUEST. |
Subject: RE: BS: ivor bigginin From: lone shark Date: 30 Mar 04 - 03:03 AM Your point is well made and sincere Raggytash. But the identity of this so called interloper has yet to be revealed. I note that Ivor has not posted since Ossonflags confessed that the offensive posts originated from his own computer. Answers are required. |
Subject: RE: BS: ivor bigginin From: GUEST,Amazed Date: 01 Apr 04 - 05:54 AM Looks like no answers will be given. Draw your own conclusions. |
Subject: RE: BS: ivor bigginin From: GUEST Date: 01 Apr 04 - 07:01 AM If they had said it was an april fool people may have believed them, but its to late now, another thread has used that excuse. |

Subject: RE: BS: ivor bigginin From: lone shark Date: 13 Apr 04 - 10:28 AM The mudcat world now appears to be totally ivor free. Ossonflags must have chastised his "colleague" |
Subject: RE: BS: ivor bigginin From: George Papavgeris Date: 13 Apr 04 - 10:46 AM After careful consideration of all evidence, the point here, surely, has to be "Who gives a gnat's fart?". Other than lone shark, that is - he seems to care an awful lot indeed. But it's not terminal, it can be cured by getting a life. |
Subject: RE: BS: ivor bigginin From: Dave Bryant Date: 13 Apr 04 - 12:03 PM Is it just that the name "Ivor Biggin" reminds Ossonflags of his own shortcomings ? |

Subject: RE: BS: ivor bigginin From: Rt Revd Sir jOhn from Hull Date: 31 Aug 04 - 12:36 AM I now know who was posting as Ivor bigginin, his [and yes, it was a he] posts came from 2 seperate computers [home and work?] if you've got summat to say, say it, dont fart about with silly names. I also now know who "Lone shark" is. Amazing what you can find out with a bit of probing/asking the right people! |
Subject: RE: BS: ivor bigginin From: Gurney Date: 31 Aug 04 - 06:34 AM I believe Ivor Biggin is a regular alias for a guy who is a regular on the English scene, and I've had a light-hearted but scathing dialogue with him on Mudcat. He also has a monologue on 'Make-em-Laugh' which is described as "one of the few printable of his..." so he obviously has a robust style. I think he sometimes posts under different names, and seems to have trouble remembering which he is using. He comes over as a shit-stirrer, so enjoy him if you can handle it, or ignore him if you can't. |
Subject: RE: BS: ivor bigginin From: Gurney Date: 31 Aug 04 - 06:59 AM Just found another post of his, nearly half-way down the socks/sandals thread. Hugh Jampton is his other identity, I suspect. For the benefit of our other listeners, a hampton is English slang for a penis. Self-praise is no recommendation, nor guarantee. |
Subject: RE: BS: ivor bigginin From: Rt Revd Sir jOhn from Hull Date: 04 Nov 04 - 08:00 PM Another refresh! Ivor biigining, [or the mudcat member purporting to be him]! accused me of making no contribution to to local folk scene! That is complete and utter bollocks, I have promoted all the sessions that I know of, I run a local folk club, and I promote all local folk bands that I know of, in fact I have spent much of my own time and money, promoting live music in this city. What is your contribution to the local folk scene? [You have 1 week to answer or apologise for your false accusations, your week starts now] state your case, or I garauntee you will wish you'd never heard of me! [I am entirley serious about this, apologise or wish, you have 1 week]. john |
