Folks,

Most care facilities do have AV equipment for residnents' use.

Just so you know-- free information-- the pattern has been that every time she's let us know how she's doing, when she's been sick, we don't hear from her again for days or weeks, and usually not in the thread we might expect her to appear in, but a new thread.

That's why it's so great that this thread will be snail-mailed.

But please, drop her a card yourself now, too, OK? It IS what she asked for, specifically, in the first post.

Everytime I've tried to reach her by phone, she is out of her room. So, today I spoke to one of the nurses and asked for a good time when I might catch up to her. I will be calling her at 2p Mudcat time. Hopefully she will be in her room and I will have some news. I will let her know how much we care and that folks have been asking after her, as well as sending energy, prayers, etc.

Okay, I finally reached her! Julie said thank you and to tell you all that she is doing okay, a little down, but okay. She knows we've all been concerned and sending hugs, etc.

Please, please keep sending cards, letters, and/or CDs or whatever...they do help. I will be calling her again over the next few weeks to keep in touch and see how things progress.

I just spoke to Julie. She sounded a lot better, stronger, than the last time we spoke. She said she is doing a little better, but that there is still a ways to go, so she will continue to be at Brandywine for some time.

She really appreciates the good thoughts, postcards, etc. so keep them coming, please, folks. She got the first printing I sent of this thread even though I ahd the wrong zip on it. I'll print up some more in a day or two and send on new messages.

Well, I tried to reach Julie, today, but she's moved to another room without a regular landline and I don't have her cell phone number. I left my number for her, so maybe when she feels up to it she will give me a call or check in somehow. The nurse said she'd had a rough morning and was sleeping, so I am sure any energy/thoughts/etc. we can send would be helpful. I'll post as soon as I hear more.

Just wanted to let you all know that I spoke with Julie, today. She is still having a tough time, but is hopeful about getting to go home in a few weeks. They are trying to help her body get rid of excess water right now.

She says she still appreciates cards and letters, etc. So please keep them coming, folks. They mean a lot to her.
