Subject: RE: BS: Quantum mechanical Models of Consciousne From: Amos Date: 20 Apr 04 - 12:39 PM Interesting bunch of topical headings. Of all those touched on I am partial to Fred Alan Wolf's premises. This really demonstrates the notion that complexity can be borne out of erroneous premises, doesn't it? THese guys are bending over backwards to accomodate the premises of constant space-time and material structure as the bedrock of consciousness while themselves exercising consciousness to figure it out, and not using the very things they are asserting, Ooooo, complicated!! It's getting thick over there, huh? A |
Subject: RE: BS: Quantum mechanical Models of Consciousne From: Pied Piper Date: 20 Apr 04 - 03:51 PM I'm just waiting for evidence, though I lean towards Penrose because he's a guy that can explain complex maths in accessible language, and he likes Bach. PP |
Subject: RE: BS: Quantum mechanical Models of Consciousne From: Johnny in OKC Date: 20 Apr 04 - 04:35 PM It downloaded OK, now how do I read it? Johnny in OKC |
Subject: RE: BS: Quantum mechanical Models of Consciousne From: JohnInKansas Date: 21 Apr 04 - 12:48 AM Johnny in OKC - It's apparently a Power Point file. If you don't have Microsoft Office Power Point installed, you can download the Power Point Viewer from Microsoft's Power Point Home site. It will let you view PP files, although you can't create or edit them with it. It's free. The version here is good for Win98 thru WinXP, although if you're using Win2K you do need to be at Service Release 3. Also, if you're running Win98, there's a general purpose "Installer" that you'll probably also need to get in order to "execute" the installation. Details are on the page linked above. John |
