Subject: BS: A new poem by Tom Paulin From: GUEST,Anon Date: 11 May 04 - 03:34 PM I have come across this poem by Tom Paulin. I think it is wonderful. What does everyone else think about it? A steady flow, Like continuous rain, Of cars go Along the busy road. Each a world contained On wheels Driven by combustion engine: Petrol driven; axle turning, Enclosed in steel, A mini-universe restrained By economic fact, By rules and Government Act: The Masters of their Universes Flowing like water from crevices. |

Subject: RE: BS: A new poem From: freda underhill Date: 11 May 04 - 08:30 PM I like it. it reminds me of that beautiful description of the motor bike, at the beginning of zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance. and makes a similar statement. |
