It's GREAT! He does a fantastic job of playing a... a... I don't know how to describe it, but it's funny as hell.

His character was approached by a friend (a doctor) who wanted him to represent him (the friend) in a court case in which he was being tried for sexually inapropriate behavior towards his paraplegic patients. The doctor said he's sexually attracted to women in wheelchairs and he can't control his urges.

Shatner (his character) looked at the doctor long and hard and then said...

"You're an evildoer!!"

The Series is called "Fleet Street" its a "The Practice" spinnoff with elements of Alley McBeal. And yes, Mr. Shatner is back on Network TV!!!!!

It looks pretty good, better written than The Practice. I hope the last scene of the final episode is also the last of the long, lingering, meant-to-be-meaningful camera shots. Bye already. James Spader hasn't forgotten how to play an unabashed weirdo. If it doesn't work out, one can rewatch the movies Happiness, and Secretary, with some of the old cast and the new.

I saw part of this as I was flipping channels the other day. My reaction was that Shatner, with his obvious hair plugs, was trying real hard to act young and vibrant. He doesn't get respect because he doesn't deserve it. He's become a repulsive caricature. I like some of his earlier stuff but now - ugh!

I think we've already established that I'm a weirdo and all, but Shatner kind of reminded me a bit of Albert Finney in the way he's acting the part of this character. Only a lot more loopy.

My sister is an attorney. So was our father, so were our grandfathers. Father's father was a judge. One thing I know, judges HATE courtroom theatrics. Attorneys are bound to find Mr. Shatner's program very funny indeed.
