HARMONY 3.2.9 now available

The latest version contains a number of requested improvements, including

1. A new menu, Edit Selected, which applies the same edit command to all currently selected notes (and bars, etc).

2. There is now an option to import chord names from aligned lyrics
if in the form [G]this [D7] is an [Em]example.
The chord is aligned to the following word.

3. Better import of instrumentation directives from abc

4. Many corrections to score display

5. Rests can be included in tuples and broken rhythm constructs (no idea why you would WANT z>>z though!)

Hm - tried to download, only got 232kBytes. (compared to 3,539kBytes for version 3.2.8 zip file)

Winzip says it is not a correct zip file.

I just tried again and watched the little progress dialog during the download. It showed progress of "nnn" of 231 K and finished when 231 K was reached--at end of file. I don't think there is a complete archive available for download.

I also tried ftp but ftp.greenhedges.com is unknown and greenhedges.com refuses an ftp connection.

Yes, looks like the problem is at the greenhedges end - I had tried before from home and from work with different browsers/systems/machines...

Well spotted. I will add them ASAP.

Windows 9X or higher. Speed not critical (I run an old 200MHz machine myself).

Unfortunately not Linux or MAC. I have investigated several options to port to other OS, but none are practical for a large VB program.

Barry T - I can't explain unless your machine has cached the bad version.

Could also be some proxy that caches the bad version...


Btw, the new feature of editing all selected items at once works well, saves me a lot of work! Thanks for the fast implementation! ;-)

A bad cache was indeed the problem. I switched to Opera and downloaded it successfully. 'Went back to Explorer and encountered the same glitch. Deleting the cache and doing a cold boot cured the problem. 'Should have thought of that sooner, I guess.

Anyway I'm happily 3.2.9 'ing now! Great work, Pavane!!
