On Leno it was mentioned (as part of recent hyping of a possible Dump Cheney conspiracy) that whoever replaces Cheney should, if possible, make the Dubster look, um, SMARTER. As soon as I heard this, an indelible image flashed into my mind. It had a soundtrack too.

I dunno who YOU want to see, but my pick is:

Spiro T. Agnew was the first to come to my mind. The fact that he's dead shouldn't matter too much and help make Bush look even less dumb...

But I heard that the Repubs are going to try to out Kerry Kerry and are in hot negoitiations with Michael Moore though this isn't going to help with the I.Q. issue...

As to Seamus Kennedy - even he couldn't get me to vote for bush...but it would make the decision tougher.

Now George is a good choice but I think old Barbie Bush would be better. A woman on the ticket and one who actually thinks bush jr is smart.

The basic requirement is that as few people as possible are going to think that the VP would be an improvement on the president. I think Nixon once said that was why he picked Spiral T Agnew - he reckoned noone was going to shoot him to make Agnew President.

That makes Cheney a pretty good selection.
