Sue, my big sister rang me tonight to tell me that she found a lump in her breast six weeks ago and despite going straight to the docs it has taken this long to get a hospital appointment by which time it has grown rapidly and spread to her lymph glands.

She is due to go into hospital for removal of the breast etc on August 24th. As she is a firm believer in 'hug power' of any denomination or kind please could you send her some.

First, let me say that this diagnosis isn't a death sentence. My mother in law has had breast cancer for 10 years, and it just recurred for the third time. She is 86. So please understand, you and your sister have my best wishes.

However, I've noticed there are more and more of these prayer/hug type threads creeping back in here at Mudcat. I thought a consensus of sorts had been reached to use Jon's forum for this sort of thing, because these sorts of threads eventually create so much dissension and discord in the forum.

Or has that compromise gone out the window, and people intend to use the forum as their support group again?

I'll support any of my Friends on the Mudcat who need help regardless of said consensus??
We do support each other here on this Forum, Musically and in other ways we can.
If there has been another arrangement I don't know about it. So please fill me in as I have been away and haven't a clue what Guest means about posting somewhere else????
There are so many more subjects on this Forum that cause discord and dissension. I do not think Supporting another Human Being in time of need causes anything other than an outpouring of Love.
