Hi, folks! I will be in Ireland from 26 December to 6 January, after twenty years(!)... Would you be so kind to suggest me some place wherre to hear good traditional irish music (better if played by 'catters)? I will stay a few days in Dublin, then I will get a car and hit the road. I plan to be in Galway, for sure, and maybe Sligo... any suggestions are welcome!

If travelling from Galway to Sligo be sure to stop off in Westport. There will be music in many pubs including Matt Molloys, Bould Biddy's, Hoban's etc etc.

I hope to be there myself somtime around 26th to 29th

Thanks, Guest, I plan to be in Dublin from 26 to 28 and then get a car to wander a little...
I've been to Galway and I have a particular love for that city, and probably I'll go to Sligo to pay a visit to my pipemaker Charles Roberts. And Flattop is right, but I can yell "There's any mudcatter in here?!?" in all the pubs I will go, so you can know me...   ;O)

P.S.
I am uhmmm, I wouldn't say fat, let's say soft, plumpy... with a beard, 1.81 tall... I will pester any musician in range.
