Subject: RE: BS: Watching life go by .gif From: Ebbie Date: 22 Dec 04 - 01:15 PM Well done! But I wish you could have shown her having had an easier life of it than that. Life has treated her harshly. Can you show someone who has been sweetened by it? I'm actually serious about the question. How would you go about putting in the lines and indicating the sagging tissures that would give evidence that, overall, life has been good? |

Subject: RE: BS: Watching life go by .gif From: Peace Date: 22 Dec 04 - 06:53 PM Hakman, Have a wonderful Christmas. I have enjoyed your work over the past year. There is a beauty you express that has to come from your soul. You are a great artist, and I hope my saying so causes you no embarrassment. Love, peace and happiness to you and your family. From the heart, Don. Bruce Murdoch |
Subject: RE: BS: Watching life go by .gif From: Cruiser Date: 22 Dec 04 - 07:02 PM Beautiful colors Donuel. That reminds me of a kaleidoscope I had as a kid in the 50s. Have you ever tried to make a digital kaleidoscopic.gif similar to the symmetrical designs of the old mirror tube-shaped kaleidoscopes? Is that even possible? Crusier |
Subject: RE: BS: Watching life go by .gif From: number 6 Date: 22 Dec 04 - 07:17 PM Bravo! That is superb. There is eloquence in the cycle of life. Thanx for presenting it. |
Subject: RE: BS: Watching life go by .gif From: Donuel Date: 22 Dec 04 - 07:22 PM I could do an animated kaleidoscope of someone singing and playing the guitar, or a generated 3D kaleidoscope of a fiddle or bizarre 3D fractals. There is a Hummer commercial that uses 3D modeling nicely and the end of Muppets in space do a nice job using the characters in a computerized kaleidoscope. Today I spent more time wallpapering the bedroom than on the puter. Here are some kaleidoscope stills of violins I did 5 years ago. These were done with a free Photoshop version 1, before I knew anything about digital pics. http://www.angelfire.com/md2/customviolins/kal.jpg http://www.angelfire.com/md2/customviolins/kal1.jpg |
Subject: RE: BS: Watching life go by .gif From: Stilly River Sage Date: 22 Dec 04 - 07:35 PM You do good work. And I hope that watching life go by in that park across the road from your house has been interesting this year also! SRS |
Subject: RE: BS: Watching life go by .gif From: Cruiser Date: 22 Dec 04 - 07:36 PM Donuel, Neat .jpgs. The fiddle is my favorite instrument. Now, when you get a chance to do all those animated kaleidoscopes you mentioned above... Cruiser |
Subject: RE: BS: Watching life go by .gif From: Cruiser Date: 22 Dec 04 - 10:13 PM I found this on the Net. Real Time Kaleidoscope Java Animated Kaleidoscope There are some neat fractals like Donuel mentioned, but did not find any animated in real time. |
Subject: RE: BS: Watching life go by .gif From: Little Hawk Date: 22 Dec 04 - 11:40 PM Presidents usually age shockingly over their 4-8 year stint, Donuel. Maybe you could do one for Dubya. |

Subject: RE: BS: Watching life go by .gif From: GUEST,bflat Date: 24 Dec 04 - 01:01 AM Donuel, the age progression is amazing. I wonder if I sent you a picture of someone as a child if you could do that do the progression? I'd love to see how the years might age someone. And if you can't then I just want to say how much I enjoyed you effort. Ellen |
