Well here is an update... this evening, for the first time in about a year, I gave Limpit a piggyback up the stairs... bear in mind that 6 weeks ago I was panting for breath just getting myself up the stairs!

Apart from a twinge in the upper, leg area, I was fine!

And BW ~ it was 'Chatter with the Angels'!

Blackwalnut - you were there!! I downloaded you onto my MP3 player and whilst I was lying flat on my back for 2 hours after it, I was listening in and wiggling my feet in time!

Thank you everyone for the messages. I'm back at work now, nearly back to fighting strength and still have chocolate left!

Hey Liz,

Glad to hear you mending well. Be sure and check soon with the doc about that circulation problem, OK? And don't worry about running up the stairs - slow and easy gets you there just the same. ;-)

Keep feeling better, Áine

I'm doing OK. Sorry to disappoint but bruising was minimal so no lurid pictures of purple limbs....

Having a little trouble with circulation in one leg so I suspect the bruising is internal but otherwise, I'm actually feeling energetic for the first time in a very long while! It will be a week or so more before I know if it's worked properly, I'll not faint next time I run up the stairs!

Thanks everyone for you kind messages and thoughts.

Well something works, I lost 4lbs already! I suspect it was the not eating for 14 hours and the gallon of water I drank! I did ask the surgeon if he would do some liposuction whilst he was down there, but he said he didn't have a big enough tube.....

Thank you everyone.

Can't be squeaky clean just yet.. no baths for 2 days and I can't reach those bits with the shower!

Apparently it was a success, I ain't dead and they got the bits they wanted.

I'm off the medication so hopefully can lose the stone I put on with them by March. I'm very sore and twitchy (had to lie dead still for 2 hours on the table and another 2.5 hours afterwards), but so far all is OK.

Thanks everyone for the good thoughts, prayers, &@$! reducing candles and everything else. I will give further reports on the bruising when it comes out.

Hey Liz! Sending as many healing hugs as I can get my hands on this morning. Sure, you'll be up and running real soon -- but, watch out that you don't stub your toe -- I have it on good authority that while you were out, the furniture got moved about somehow ;-)

Take care and be as right as rain real soon ;-)

All the best, Áine
