My grandparents had one(!) of those, I was shown it once. It was embossed with its trade name - The Poor Man's Friend. My eyes water just thinking about using one.

I'm very tempted to add snowmobiles to the list...but I guess there are certain situations where they actually ARE useful and desirable.

Okay then. JET-SKIS!!!

After-dinner mints that impart pleasing odors unto one's flatulence. (That's a 50¢ way of sayin' they make yer farts smell good.) They could come in various flavors. I would personally find "New Car Smell" to be particularly enchanting. They could be called "Inta-Mints".

No! Wait! That's not a product we don't need! That's a product we do need!

I have a Hammer on a cord. It's a pain if you drop it and have to go to the bottom of the cliff. Especially if there was somebody standing there...

Electric can-openers! How pathetic.

And when will we see an electric corkscrew???

I used to have a wine opener that was a large needle that you inserted through the cork. You then pumped up and down on the handle to pump air under the cork, pushing it out slickern' snot on a doorknob.

Now you can get much the same thing, but pumping the handle up and down is too much work or maybe too difficult to figure out -- it comes with a compressed C-O-2 cartridge, forcing you to buy more cartridges.

The inkjet printer approach to marketing....

Has peanut butter packaged in ready-made slices come on the market all over yet, or just around here? About the same time I started seeing ads for bread with the crust removed.

Bee-dubya-ell,

If you were a Bob&Tom devotee you'd know that they had an outrageously funny commercial for "Flatulante'". Available in pill or suppository.

What is that? Lemon? mmmmmmmmmmmmmm!

Ha! Ha! Ha! The idiocy of mass marketing rolls on... the question is: HOW LAZY can the public get???? Is there a statute of limitations on terminal laziness or is it a never-ending process?

When will we see drive-in urinals? Some people really don't want to have to get out of their cars for a whizz, after all...

When will we see a remote for eating and drinking? You won't have to lift a fork anymore...just push a button, open your mouth, and a little mechanical arm will deposit the food in your fat face! A little mechanical hose squirts the drink down your gaping maw! Only 3 easy payments of $89.99!!! Buy now...pay later! Who could resist?

Don't know of Bob & Tom, but it's not surprising somebody else would've hatched the same bit of silliness. It's a pretty obvious conceit for any sufficiently deranged mind.

Yup. Now we gotta find a way to package it, market it, and convince Jill Sixpack that she NEEDS it in order to be popular!
