I'd like the tune, staff or abc notation, of Joseph Taylor's recording of Lord Bateman. Thank you. Roberto

Print references are Bronson, Traditional Tunes of the Childs Ballads, I, 425, no.53.34; and Journal of the Folk Song Society, III (1909), 192. Full notation by Percy Grainger for four verses.

I'd like to buy a copy of Bronson's book, but I couldn't find it anywhere. R

Hi, Roberto - You can find "The Singing Tradition of Child's Popular Ballads." by Bronson, Bertrand Harris on BookFinder.com - reprints cost about $175 to $200. The four-vloume complete edition of Bronson costs about $200 per volume. I'll post a MIDI of the tune later today, and e-mail you a scan of the tune.
