.. now back home (staying at my brother's place in yarralumla while I'm working here) - showered with various creams & natural perfumes - and a lovely new pair of .............

and its off the Bernadette's (a vego place) for dinner! so yes, diana, while I wasnt treating myself much at work, i have been spoiled wonderfully since getting home.

Gosh Fred I didn't know, and now I'm all behind like the cow's tail. I hope you had a lovely birthday, and Mum spoiled you, and that the meal was good.
We liked Canberra although the weather was cold, it was colder still when we got to Jindabyne. Say hello the the museum of Australia, for us we enjoyed it so much.

Jeez, I'm confused. You're writing about Turkey and living in Cranberry -- turkey and cranberries are traditionally combined at (American) Thanksgiving Day dinners. I thought you were Aussie? I'm all tangled up here.

But I think it's a great idea for grandmothers to keep having birthdays. Another day to feel too good to express, just cuz that wonder of the world was born; and another day to cheer for what a good parent your kid is being; and another opportunity to see and hear that marvel -- and to revel in anything else that is a pleasure and satisfaction in your life -- and share any gleaned wisdom while doing it. Bat'day makes lots of sense. We never saw so many large bats, bats as big as cats, hanging out in the trees in The Domain Park in Sydney.
