I rather enjoyed the movie Josie and the Pussycats, the movie this thread is ostensibly about. It's a satire about the rock industry, specifically manufactured "boy bands" and "girl bands", and the big conspiracy to implant corporate-friendly subliminal messages in commercial recordings to manipulate that all-important youth market. At the same time, it uses a whole lot of high-price corporate trademarks--Revlon, Pepsi, etc etc--and I had to think, as such "product placement" is routinely paid for in movies and TV these days, was this movie getting paid by the corporations it was criticizing?   

I strongly suspect so, and I don't know what the moral is...

Liz - the movie was an US pop culture rip-off of a US TV show pop culture ripoff of a US pop culture comic book.

It bears no resemblence to ANY language.
