Subject: BS: Goose Eggs - too big for my eggcup
From: Stu
Date: 12 Apr 05 - 12:04 PM

I had a luverly goose egg for me brekkers yesterday morning, but it was so big I had to take the shell off and stick it on a slice of toast and eat using a knife and fork as it was too big for my eggcup.

I thought about using my flat cap to prop the egg up, but didn't like the idea of yolk everywhere on me hat.

So todays question is, how to prop up a goose egg securely for dunking me soldiers in?

I used to eat goose eggs quite often.... we used a standard sized mug to keep them upright in.

15 minutes for a soft boil, some brown bread and butter, bloody marvellous!

1] Mould (US Mold??) a suitably sized ring of plasticene or blu-tac - whole minutes of innocent fun.

2] A big omelette in stead?

poke holes in teh shell top and bottom adn blow on it til the insides come out then save the shell....I did this with a few smaller eggs on
Easter....Araucauna eggs that were blue and green. and one that was a
first egg from a young chicken...tiny.
