Subject: BS: ever been to Lake Myvatn? From: GUEST,leeneia Date: 03 Jun 05 - 02:07 PM In a week I'm off to northern Iceland. There is a large lake there, Lake Myvatn, which is famous for its birdlife. It is said to be a popular tourist destination. I need to know what kind of footgear to take, and none of the sites are specific enough. Are there paths, roads, boardwalks, towers? I don't want to pack serious waterproof wear unless I have to. This is our second trip to Iceland, and I am looking forward to it very much. Iceland is so beautiful! |

Wonderful scenery and 24 hours daylight this time of year.Only drawback are the mosquitos,so cover up and take mosquito repellant. Would also recommend some light rainwear as the weather in Iceland changes minute by minute. Have a great time. |
