Sorry to break this to Wallace and Gromit fans, but the Aardman Animations warehouse in Bristol was gutted by a fire last night.

What a bummer! Any just when their new film has been released to sellout audiences in the States - wonder if there's any connection. I suspect the penguin.....

Apparently some sets (including some from The Wrong Trousers) are safe because they were out on exhibition. Everything in the warehouse has gone though.

But take hope; our eccentric puttyfaced heroes shall, like the proverbial Phoenix (did I spell that right?) arise from the ashes better than ever!

Or weirder than ever... or something like that.

What's the plural of Phoenix? Phoenixes? Phoenixi?...

Whatever...;

RESURGENS!!!

its not unfair to suspect that most of Wallaces
eccentric amateurishly built inventions
would not have complied with modern minimum legal fire safety standards..

could he now face a longterm prison sentence for flagrant culpable negligence
and plastercine animal-slaughter..!!??
