Vashti has recorded her second album, 35 years after the classic 'Another Diamond Day' comes 'Lookaftering' available Oct. 17 from FatCat in UK and Oct. 25 from DiCristina in USA. It's what we've all waited for, a continuation of 'Diamond Day', though not repetitive. There are some echos of the first recording in this one, she still writes beautifully and sings beautifully, the instrumentation is a little more spare than diamond day, but as interesting. Musicians on the new release include Max Richter, Joanna Newsom, Adem, Devendra Banhart. Robert Kirby, Kevin Barker , Otto Hauser, Marcelo Di Oliviera, Adam Pierce.

"Another Diamond Day' included Robin Williamson of Incredible String Band, Dave Swarbrick and Simon Nicol of Fairport Convention to accompany on some tracks, and Robert Kirby arranged the String quartet and recorders. Well worth getting on cd if you never had the lp, or have forgotten how good it was, and the new release is just as good, I'd say. You should start to hear it on the radio soon, or ask for it.
