Subject: BS: ChocolateCoveredRumSoakedPineappleUPDATE From: Fullerton Date: 24 Dec 05 - 05:33 PM A few kind people here on mudcat gave me some sage advice a while ago (June-ish) I had set myself the task of soaking small pieces of pineapple in rum till christmas. At which time I planned to cover the said lumps of rum soaked pineapple in dark chocolate. This proved to be quite tricky. But not tricky enough to outwit mudcatters many of whom helped with confectionary advice. I can't track you down cos the original thread has been deleted. (Can't think why :o) Well. It's done. I am now the proud owner of many delicious lumps of chocolate covered rum soaked pineapple and a very messy kitchen. They are DELICIOUS!!!!! Freinds are very complementary about them and ask where I got the recipe from. They don't LOOK too good, but who cares! You can't actually taste these chocolates but you can SEE AND HEAR THE CHOCOLATES them by visiting my soundclick page. CLICK HERE TO SEE & HEAR THE CHOCOLATE COVERED RUM SOAKED PINEAPPLE CONFECTIONARY ITEMS Thanks for all your help. Fullerton |

Subject: RE: BS: ChocolateCoveredRumSoakedPineappleUPDATE From: Peace Date: 26 Dec 05 - 03:56 PM Give the chocolate to someone, put the pineapple pieces on a pizza and drink the rum. OR, Throw away the fruit and chocolate and drink the rum. The key here is STOP wasting the rum. Merry Christmas. |
Subject: RE: BS: ChocolateCoveredRumSoakedPineappleUPDATE From: paddymac Date: 26 Dec 05 - 05:16 PM Pineapple pizza ? The mere thought of such an atrocity made me wince, until I had Ham & Pineapple pizza in Pereia, Colombia, a decade or so ago. Astoundingly delicious. Might be an interesting experiment to sprinkle chocolate drops on one of those. |

Subject: RE: BS: ChocolateCoveredRumSoakedPineappleUPDATE From: JennieG Date: 27 Dec 05 - 01:56 AM Do you reckon it would work if one used dried apricots, brandy and dark chocolate? One is very fond of apricots......! Cheers JennieG |
