Hmm. Evergreen's t-shirt design department has gone way downhill (looking elsewhere on the bookstore site). I treasured the shirt my sister gave me when she went in the 70's. It had a large, realistic geoduck picture on it. Long gone to rags, now, though. BTW, the "Omnia Extares" motto seen on the patch (linked by pdq) was meant to be loosely translated, "Let it all hang out."

Rain? What's that? We don't get that stuff here anymore...

This weekend's cloudy, after a week of sunny pleasant weather (and me inside sick as a dog), but there's not supposed to be any rain reaching the ground in the desert.

Wintertime is supposed to have some rain here, and the summer monsoons are wonderful, when they happen. Having two relatively wet seasons is what makes the Sonoran desert a much richer place than the Mohave or the Chihuahuan. [Interesting how hard it was to find a link I liked for the Mojave/Mohave.]

But, "the West" is a big place, and we've got no mudslides in our neighborhood. Nor falling food.

I suggest Mister Bush has unleashed more human destruction and violence than any other individual in this century so far -- more than Bin Asshole Laden in 2001. Why? "Because it was necessary.

Well, maybe it is time to rethink that little decision, before too many more wives, mothers, children and husbands are sliced up and left bleeding int he desert by hot lead empowered by Bush's signature.
