4 gauge? Donuel, do you have any idea how big that shotgun bore would be? Any shotgun I've ever seen above 10 gauge was an antique mounted on a swivel stand like a machine gun!

4-gauge "punt guns" used to be used on the Chesapeake Bay by "hunters" who would use a long-barreled large bore gun that would nestle in a notch in the bow of a flat-bottomed boat. They would drift up to a floating flock of geese and take out a large percentage of them with one shot. Nowadays, 4-gauge blank shells are available for small cannon. It's about a 1-inch bore.

I think that's a record for hyphens in a single post.
