I haven't been on a lot lately due to oppressive screening by a evil software program called 'websense' but thought that I would see what was going on at Mudcat on my off hours.

Judging from the response of the first few posts, I am elated that all of my old liberal friends have welcomed me with opened arms and a warm hearth. It brings me great joy to read your enlightning posts and I hope that you continue to peak my interest of this site.

But no guest should come not bearing gifts. Therefore I assure you that I will provide you with great sustanance in the form of "fair and balanced" ideas from the world we live in.

Well, gol danged... I don't unnderstand them O's and 1's either but come on Joe... I mean, we let some of Bush apologists run "War and Peace" lenght cut 'n posts and, yeah, sometimes folks do get on 'um about 'um but it don't ever gettin' down to deletin' all cut 'n posts longer than a screen's worth... Wasn't that going to be the rule of thumb???

Yet, you get on Bruce fir usin' up almost no bandwidth by posting with no message... Hey, sometimes it's important to let some one know you have taken the time to read another's point of view yet don't feel a necessity to to go 'sound the same barn with them...

I think that's all Bruce is doing... And I think it's a lot more civil that pouncing on them although when it comes to folks like rarelamb, who comes here just to poke at folks, it's sometimes hard not to poke on back...

IMO, in this text only medium it's necessary to experiment with ways to convey what would be communicated with direct sight, visuals and body language.

My blank post was meant to convey my contempt for the person starting this thread. I wanted to register this contempt without communicating to him [or her].

And in submitting that blank post-and my explanation for it-I am also communicating without words to others reading this thread so that they know that rarelamb and his or her cohorts are not worthy of my wasting my breath to attempt to engage them in any conversations.

This may or may not be the reasons for others posting blank posts or binary statements.

The point is that I speak for myself in more ways than with words.

Just for the record and for all future until further notice so you know how to interpret my non-posting (or nonsense postings) to a thread:

(1) If I don't post to a thread before the tenth post I want to say by that that I consider the starter of the thread a racist sectarian bigoted dumbass.
(2) If I even don't post before the twentieth post I want to say that I strongly agree with the third poster.
(3) If I don't claim the hundreth post in the hundreth post I want you to know that I just hate it how S kidnaps this thread, however, if I don't claim the hundreth post in any post before the actual hundreth post that means I resent LH mentioning S without even the pretense of a nonsuch of a reason.
(4) If I post a string of 0101011100111 in any order don't try to decipher them because I make them up by finger tremolo. It only signals to B that his posting to this thread despite the best of intentions does more damage than his silence ever could.
(5) If I post in German don't bother to babelfish, that's for Joe (who understands me) to signal him which post I want to be deleted immediately without any trace.
(6) If I post an overly long sentence full of scrambled bits of strong opinions with a question mark at the end though there is no answerable question don't bother to understand, it is just a signal to Shambles to post a randomly chosen Joe Offer quote.

You better make sure to learn these signals so you don't misinterpret my non-posting to any thread as lack of interest or lack of original thought fitting the theme or as a sign that I might merely be offline to sleep.
