In view of the recent 'lowering of the tone' of the Mudcat ethic, can we please have a thread where the posts do not degenerate into name calling, bad language and personal attacks. It is always a pleasure to come to the Mudcat to learn about music and to research tunes and lyrics. Coming to the BS is an extra which I enjoy occasionally. Let's all enjoy BS! With a little practice it is easy to be the kind of person who exudes the qualities presented in the title of this thread. Debate is good....degradation..not so.

Good example of the Love we've known around here: in the post, today, I received George Papavgeris' new CD, autographed! Sent as a gift from a Mudcatter in the UK. My grandson is singing (no, he doesn't know the words, just lalala's:-) along as I give it a first listen. Beautiful, esp. the "warm, fuzzies" I get from knowing someone cares so much.

There's much more among Mudcatters; it's done more behind the scenes or in the 3D world nowadays, I think, because lots of folks don't want to take a chance on being flamed, etc.

and unless it does, I give it perhaps 10 or so more posts until everyone is bored with it.

Censor discussion about those and other controversial subjects and everyone will get along just fine.

I have been thinking about your Thread title GS. Just lovely by the way. Thank you, I did not do so before.
I would like to add some other words.
Peace, Love empathy, understanding, caring and humility.
I would say wisdom but I believe that wisdom is something that comes with age or a deep sense of knowing and is seldom produced intentionally. A persons wisdom is usually only visible to those privileged enough to be in the presence of it's birth. It comes from a deep understanding of the things in your Thread title. I aspire to attain the knowledge that allows me to speak freely on the true meanings of these beautiful words.
Learning about the things that unify rather than divides us is a inspiring aim and can take a Lifetime to achieve, if ever. Time spent on this task imo has to be time well spent.
It is a lovely thread. So many lovely words out there that tame the ego and harness the arrogant and have the ability by their power to make one look inward..
