Subject: RE: Kendall & Jacqui UK London SUNDAY From: jacqui.c Date: 07 Jun 06 - 04:06 AM Sorry Mike - we won't be in that part of the world this trip. So far, in two weeks, we've been to Cornwall, Wales and Wiltshire and are at the moment in Shepperton but heading off to spend three days with Giok in Scotland. We're back to the US on the 15th and that just doesn't leave enough time for a visit to the middle of the country. Too many places, not enough time......... |
Subject: RE: Kendall & Jacqui UK London SUNDAY From: John MacKenzie Date: 07 Jun 06 - 04:52 AM I didn't know you had a dog Mary? Giok ☺ |

Subject: RE: Kendall & Jacqui UK London SUNDAY From: catspaw49 Date: 07 Jun 06 - 08:00 AM "For thouse of you who have not met Kendall and Jacqui before they are a lovely couple who are active in the US folk scene and have an excellent knowledge of folk music. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet and socialise and make music with 2 wonderful people." Well, Jacqui is wonderful anyway..........Those of you who have read Kendall's posts over the past year can tell he's nothing but a shadow of his former self and his former self didn't have much of a shadow to start with. Fortunately Jacqui has been just the right thing for him and he now can sometimes evacuate his bladder and wind his watch with only limited assistance, although he still requires someone to empty his drool cup every few minutes. Don't let this put you off though. Jacqui would love to see you all I know. Spaw |
Subject: RE: Kendall & Jacqui UK London SUNDAY From: Becca72 Date: 07 Jun 06 - 08:35 AM Mary, There hasn't been another dog park incident, has there? I'd stop taking him there if I was you...he's getting a reputation! |
Subject: RE: Kendall & Jacqui UK London SUNDAY From: Mrs.Duck Date: 07 Jun 06 - 08:48 AM Damn was hoping you'd get up to see us. Never mind we'll just hae ve to win the lottery and come and see you instead! |
Subject: RE: Kendall & Jacqui UK London SUNDAY From: John MacKenzie Date: 07 Jun 06 - 09:03 AM They should be passing overhead at about 12.30 tomorrow, so you could at least wave. G |
Subject: RE: Kendall & Jacqui UK London SUNDAY From: SINSULL Date: 07 Jun 06 - 09:10 AM Seamus met his match at the Dog Park and I didn't have a camera. They waltzed and cha-cha'd and two steps but neither one ever got to lead if you know what I mean. The crowd appreciated the Fred and Ginger show though. Kendall - possession is 9/10 of the law. And don't let Jacqui's sweet disposition fool you. She has a heart of ice if you cross her. Remember, she has to cope with Kendall every day. Got you post card, guys. Thank you. Land's End looks beautiful. Keep in mind that we have one here too at the end of Bailey Island. (and therein lies a tale...) |
Subject: RE: Kendall & Jacqui UK London SUNDAY From: jacqui.c Date: 07 Jun 06 - 09:15 AM Aw shucks Mary - you got me blushing. Such high praise from one whose opinion I value so much. So far as possession is concerned, just remember that Kendall has a gun and if he wants his dawg back...... Spaw - you bin spying on the Morse household! There has been a lot of improvemnet but there is still a way to go. However, I do like a challenge! :0) Jacqui.c - grabbing the car keys and running!!!! |
Subject: RE: Kendall & Jacqui UK London SUNDAY From: John MacKenzie Date: 07 Jun 06 - 09:30 AM They'll be digging an extension to that cellar any day now! G |
Subject: RE: Kendall & Jacqui UK London SUNDAY From: Becca72 Date: 07 Jun 06 - 09:54 AM Just watch out for her attack kitties! |
Subject: RE: Kendall & Jacqui UK London SUNDAY From: Midchuck Date: 07 Jun 06 - 03:45 PM Ah hah! They bought one postcard in bulk! I was amused by the sign. From Lands End (as far south as you can go in England without getting your feet wet) to John O'Groats (as far north as you can go in Scotland without getting your feet wet) is about the same as the distance we drove on the last day of our run out to Montana in '02. And that was the last day of a four day drive. Of course we were on Interstates that were less crowded in rush hour than the British motorways appear to be in the middle of the night... Peter |
Subject: RE: Kendall & Jacqui UK London SUNDAY From: gnu Date: 07 Jun 06 - 03:58 PM Gosh it must be rough lining up proper accomodations whilst abroad. Not every 'Cat you will stay with has a cellar, do they? Bon voayage and have a great trip youse guys. BTW, Kendall. Don't catch the biggest fish in the Loch. If you do, make sure you accredit the guide. |
Subject: RE: Kendall & Jacqui UK London SUNDAY From: catspaw49 Date: 07 Jun 06 - 04:25 PM Actually gnu, paying off the local constable is a bigger issue. Last time Kendall went fishing he was arrested for Indecent Exposure when he put his worm in the water. Spaw |

Subject: RE: Kendall & Jacqui UK London SUNDAY From: John MacKenzie Date: 08 Jun 06 - 06:44 PM Kendall here. Spaw, I am trying very hard to maintain my dignity and not respond to your insults, but it's getting harder and harder to be aloof. |
Subject: RE: Kendall & Jacqui UK London SUNDAY From: John MacKenzie Date: 08 Jun 06 - 07:13 PM What's a loof? G. |
Subject: RE: Kendall & Jacqui UK London SUNDAY From: Snuffy Date: 08 Jun 06 - 08:11 PM I think they must be an American phenomenon: ee don't see many looves(?) in Britain. I suppose half a loof is better than no loof at all, and everyone should have a loof over their head. |
Subject: RE: Kendall & Jacqui UK London SUNDAY From: SINSULL Date: 08 Jun 06 - 08:16 PM loofa maybe? |

Subject: RE: Kendall & Jacqui UK London SUNDAY From: Liz the Squeak Date: 12 Jun 06 - 01:26 AM We had a splendid afternoon chatting and watching Kendall melt. No music because only a few of us turned up but it was wonderful just listening to old jokes, new jokes and general happy nattering. I delivered the hugs as promised, even if I can't remember who ordered them, I put Kendall's knee into gear several times on the drive to our place and we had pasta and veggies with more jokes and a fan. I have to report that other than melting like the Wicked Witch of the West, Kendall looked fit and well, bigger than I remembered and Jackie looks, if possible, happier than ever. LTS |
Subject: RE: Kendall & Jacqui UK London SUNDAY From: Liz the Squeak Date: 12 Jun 06 - 01:35 AM Oh, and we had a chat with Sins over dinner - she phoned to say hello... I think Seamus may be writing out doggy divorce papers.... somehow I don't reckon it'll be an amicable situation... I would put alimony at 4 bags of kibble a month and visiting rights at weekends and every second Wednesday, providing Jacqui lets him out of the cellar for that long. Kendall gets to keep any product of the 'walk in the park' incidents. LTS |
Subject: RE: Kendall & Jacqui UK London SUNDAY From: jacqui.c Date: 12 Jun 06 - 02:46 AM We had a good time although Kendall really was suffering with the heat. Like the snow, in Maine they are so used to extremes of weather that they have the machinery to manage it more than does the UK. Anyway, the landlord turned off the big screen TV so that we could hear ourselves speak, we sat Kendall under the ceiling fan to cool him down and fed him a couple of pints of extra cold Guinness to help the process. It was so good to see Liz, Manitas, Micca and Leadfingers again and just to sit a talk and laugh with them for a few hours. Kendall managed to make Liz squeak three times during the proceedings - quite an achievement. Many thanks Liz, for providing a lovely meal at very short notice, it was much appreciated, and what a surprise to have a phone call from Ms Mary Sunshine back in Maine. We've got four more days before we fly home. We're visiting with My Guru tomorrow night and hopefully will get to the Hertford Folk Club on Wednesday although at the moment I have to get my windscreen replaced after some charmimg little thug lobbed a missile at the windscreen yesterday. Luckily the screen held for the drive back to Shepperton but needs fairly urgent attention! |
Subject: RE: Kendall & Jacqui UK London SUNDAY From: kendall Date: 12 Jun 06 - 04:37 AM I do love the UK, but with the tropical weather and the lack of civility in London, it's getting harder . Anyway, it's always a pleasure to get together with good friends and a pint of COLD Guinness. More later. |
Subject: RE: Kendall & Jacqui UK London SUNDAY From: Noreen Date: 12 Jun 06 - 04:59 AM ..lack of civility in London ? |
Subject: RE: Kendall & Jacqui UK London SUNDAY From: Essex Girl Date: 12 Jun 06 - 07:39 AM Sorry I missed you Jacqui, but the call of the extended family christening by the sea couldn't be missed. Shame you're not here for another few days. Keep in touch Linda |
Subject: RE: Kendall & Jacqui UK London SUNDAY From: GUEST,catsPHiddle@work Date: 12 Jun 06 - 07:45 AM Sorry to have missed you both but the Coven had a trip planned that I couldn't get out off. If you are here in August hopefully we can arrange to meet up...or possibly see you at Towersey for a day! If not we'll see you both in November at the Getaway. Safe journey home Love Khatt xx |
