Subject: RE: BS: NFL 2006 (US Football) From: freightdawg Date: 12 Jun 06 - 06:38 PM Situation: Minnesota Vikings fan. Recent off season trends: lost most valuable receiver two years ago (may or may not have been critical loss, as he was not that big a help to Raiders) and most valuable quarterback this season (may or may not have been critical due to massive knee injury during last season.) Outlook for 2006-07: There is always next year. (Remembering Fran Tarkenton, Alan Page, Carl Eller, Paul Krause, et. al. with nostalgic sigh) Freightdawg |
Subject: RE: BS: NFL 2006 (US Football) From: ranger1 Date: 13 Jun 06 - 04:38 PM I'm still crying over Adam Vinitieri decamping to the Colts. Losing Willie McGinest is also painful. As for Roethlisberger, didn't he get in trouble one other time with the Steelers about riding his motorcycle? And not wearing a helmet is stupid, stupid, stupid! |
Subject: RE: BS: NFL 2006 (US Football) From: freightdawg Date: 13 Jun 06 - 06:18 PM Oh, and Chuck Foreman, too. Can't forget Chuck Foreman. Re: Roethlisberger. Here's hoping he makes a full recovery. He is a gritty QB in the mold of Bradshaw. It was reported that Bradshaw counseled Ben R. not to ride his motorcycle until he retired. Bet he wears a helmet next time. Freightdawg. |
Subject: RE: BS: NFL 2006 (US Football) From: Anonny Mouse Date: 14 Jun 06 - 04:58 PM Ol' Ben is expected to be released in a coupla days, recuperating fast, and according to the DR.s---likely to PLAY this season. One lucky MF. Should have his contract revoked and reissued: NO cycles 'til ya retire...and 100 helmets with the Steelers' logo on it if he ignores the contract. |
