My daughter is coming to a CITT conference in Toronto. She needs a Hotel/Motel in the Out skirts of Toronto, everywhere is booked in town or too pricey.

And Its the last minute.

Any help?

Don

Hmm. There are bed and breakfasts downtown (e.g. The Casa Loma) which are pretty cheap. There is a Ramada Inn on the West Mall in Etobicoke (an easy drive in) which is pretty cheap. There are all kinds near the Airport -- it is fairly easy to get into town (about 20 minutes by car outside of rush hours).

The Toronto Tourist offices in general are pretty good advice givers.

But as you say, the city is way packed at the moment. The AIDS conference is in town, Caribana people are here, etc. Bad timing.

Hope this helps a little.

yours,

Peter T.

There was a great Japanese place called "Nikko Gardens" on Yonge Street, I believe it was.

Hi Don. I can offer some modest hospitality in eastern Toronto, a ten minute walk from the subway. I see you've already found a hotel, but if she's interested in cancelling it in favour of a place to stay free, you can PM me. Or if you can't log into Mudcat, email me at marion_parsons@yahoo.ca.

Do you know what part of town the conference is in?

Marion

if B&B is acceptable have a word with Enid in the Beaches. She is a real character and homely. And inexpensive. And a cousin. Her website does not appear to function right now but there is a wealth of info on this site
Location - the Beaches.

Thanks Marion and everyone,

She is on the way and I guess all set. Them new college professors are hard to re-educate. I appreciate the help and offers greatly.

Don
